ITINERARY
DAY 1: NAIROBI – NANYUKI.
Pick up from the airport or Nairobi hotel for the Mount Kenya Hiking Adventure, meet the Mountain guide for briefing at our office, and catch a shuttle from Nairobi to Nanyuki via Thika Town and Karatina market. Arrive at Nanyuki hotel in time for check-in and hot lunch, with your Mountain Guide check the climbing gears and spend the evening acclimatizing. Dinner and overnight at Simbas lodge.
DAY 2: NANYUKI – OLD MOSES {JUDMIER CAMP}.

– Hiking Hours 3 – 4 hours
– Meters above sea Level 3300M
After breakfast leaves the hotel with Mount Kenya climbing crews and be transferred to Sirimon gate to start Mount Kenya Hiking Adventure, here it’s 2440m above sea level. From the gate, you will follow the track as it winds uphill through the forest. You will arrive at Judmier camp late in the evening for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: JUDMIER CAMP – SHIHTON CAMP.

– Hiking Hours 6 – 7 hours
– Meters above sea Level 4200M
Breakfast at the camp, with your Mountain guide, porters & cook embark on 14km Mount Kenya Hiking Adventure, you will cross Ontulili River and Liki North, continue uphill to Mackinder Valley for a panoramic view. Take Photos and continue to Shipton’s Camp for Dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: SHIPTON’S CAMP.
This day guided by the Mountain guide you will walk to acclimatize for the peak, walk to Kami Huts and down to Houseberg lakes then return to Shipton’s camp for Dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: SHIPTON’S CAMP – POINT LENANA.
– Hiking distance – 14 Kms
– Hiking Hours 6 hours
– Meters above sea Level up 4985m & down 2950m
Start Mount Kenya Hiking Adventure by 0300am for 3 hours up a steep stony quarry that cuts through a cliff to point Lenana, 0630am be at the peak first to witness the sunrise. After descend for 2 hours to Mintos Huts for breakfast. Relax a bit and descend further to Mount Meru Bandas 2950m for Dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: MT. MERU BANDAS – CHOGORIA GATE – NAIROBI.
– Hiking distance – 15 Kms
– Hiking Hours 2 hours
Breakfast at the Bandas then descends to Chogoria Gate where a 4×4 vehicle will meet you for a Transfer to Chogoria Town to end the Mount Kenya Hiking Adventure. Say bye-bye to the Porters and Cook, with your guide catch a shuttle, and return back to Nairobi. Drop off at the airport or Nairobi Hotel for the safari.
